The Mountain Top Trot is a trail running and hiking fundraiser event for the Mountain Lake Conservancy. Located atop Salt Pond Mountain in Giles County, VA, the Mountain Lake Conservancy consists of 2,600 acres of privately-owned, forested property including over 20 miles of multi-use trail. The Mountain Lake Conservancy’s purpose is to further Mary Moody Northen’s desire to forge bonds between people and nature in Mountain Lake’s unique environment.

Thanks for an awesome race! The 2012 MTT was extremely well organized, the trail was marked great and the pre/post race support was fantastic. The course was challenging and fun and the weather was terrific. We are glad we chose to run this and will certainly be back!
Enjoyed the race! Great job. I would like to see awards in 5 or 10 year increments. I like the awards you have, and they don’t seem to be costly, so why not have more awards?
